Wrestling Update: 1/28

Thursday, January 27th, the Berthoud High School wrestling team took on Niwot at their home dual. The dual ended up as a blowout, with a overall win for Berthoud with a score of 48-18. The dual was also senior night, and the town was able to celebrate their seniors, Tanner Coble and Daniel Bruno. Senior Tanner Coble won his dual, and when asked he stated that he was both “happy and sad” following senior night. He explained “I am happy that I am done with wrestling because of the physical and mental strain it puts on my body. However, I am sad because I am so close with all the boys are the team, and I will miss each of my teammates next year.” The wrestling team will take on top schools, including Moffat County High School, Loveland High School, and Severance High School, in their home tournament on Saturday, January 29th. We wish the whole team the best of luck in their next competitions, and especially to the seniors who will soon be done for the season.
