Sidney Gerner, Editor-in-Chief

Sidney Gerner, a senior, is in her third year at Berthoud High School. She spends time playing golf for the girls golf team, is involved in the National Honor Society (NHS), and is a Peer Support Counselor (PSC). Sidney came to Berthoud her sophomore year.

She used to dance for her old school's dance team. Her passion was dancing for 14 years, but now she is focusing on bigger things. Many other things have filled her role in her dancing life such as running, golfing, and focusing on what her plan is for the future.

Sidney is originally from a small town in Minnesota. She loves to go on runs, fish, and bow hunting. Hiking with her family in the mountains is how she spends her weekends. She also loves to snowmobile in the frigid winters.

She hopes to take a role as a leader while writing for this paper. Encouraging the community to be active readers and help get everyone else involved in the paper.

One important aspect of her life is music. She enjoys listening to outlaw country, rock and roll oldies, and rap music. Her favorite artists are Hank Williams Jr, Upchurch, Morgan Wallen, and Nickelback. Sidney used to play percussion a band when she was in middle school.

Her family consists of mom, dad, an older brother, who is in college at FRCC, a dog, and two cats.
